Trainee Program Overview

Meet our Therapists in Training

  • Hi there, I’m Jess, a compassionate soul immersed in the transformative journey of becoming a therapist. Fueled by gratitude for the privilege of walking alongside others on their paths to healing, I am pursuing my master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University. Guided by a deep well of empathy, I am committed to creating a safe space where individuals feel heard and valued. Each client encounter inspires my growth, and I am grateful for the wisdom gained from diverse human experiences. Join me on this heartfelt exploration of empathy, connection, and the profound journey toward well-being.

  • I am a graduate student at the University of Kentucky studying Social Work. I received my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Milligan University. I aspire to be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the near future. As a native of Puerto Rico, I speak both Spanish and English fluently. I am a devoted Christian and use that as my main source of strength. My passion is to help people live their best lives. I am enthusiastic about working with all groups of people, particularly children. I believe children are the future and we must protect them physically, mentally, and emotionally. I also believe everyone is capable of overcoming the hardships and struggles in their lives and with the right attitude and mindset incredible things can be accomplished.

  • I firmly believe trauma or a diagnosis does not define a person. Everyone struggles and needs a hand along the way in this life journey. Everyone has the ability to empower themselves, and as a therapist in training, I am honored to help guide individuals along the way. One of my favorite quotes is, “Don’t be afraid of death; be afraid of an unlived life.” Natalie Babbitt. I am passionate about helping people live fully with the ability to embrace all parts of themselves.

  • As an intern at Building Endurance, I am offering individual counseling services while pursuing my master’s in counseling psychology at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I enjoy bringing my personality and sense of humor into session, because I believe the connection between client and counselor is the highest priority. I strive to create a space where clients feel comfortable being themselves, so that I can better understand their unique life experiences and better help them achieve their goals. I am most interested in helping people with stress related to relationship struggles, but I am excited to work with a broad range of clients throughout my time at Building Endurance.

Let’s take this journey together.
